FHA EEM, Energy Efficient Mortgage

Do you want to save energy and save money?

The FHA Energy Efficient Mortgage (EEM) allows qualified buyers to finance energy efficient improvements into the purchase of a home. It also allows qualified homeowners to finance the costs of energy efficient improvements into the refinance of their home.

What types of items may be financed? An Home Energy Rating System Report completed by a trained Energy Rater will determine which improvements are allowed. The Energy Rater will determine which improvements are costs effective.
